Many people don’t know that you don’t necessarily need Microsoft’s OneDrive client to copy or edit files to OneDrive via Windows. OneDrive can also be integrated as a network drive under Windows. The following steps are necessary for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First you have to log in to OneDrive (https:\/\/onedrive.com) in the browser<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Then click on „My files<\/strong>„<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Now you can see the so-called „cid=<\/strong>“ in the URL in the browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Copy this ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Then open the Windows File Explorer<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Now click on „Connect network drive<\/strong>“ in the ribbon<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Now select the desired drive letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Then enter the following destination address: https:\/\/d.docs.live.net\/<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Now paste the „cid<\/strong>“ you just copied after the slash<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. If you make the connection permanent, you can check the box under the address field<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Then you have to enter your OneDrive access data<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. OneDrive will now open in a new Explorer window<\/li>\n\n\n\n
