Have a nice weekend. We had a successful launch of the Ariane 5 with the Juice space probe. Juice successfully separated from the upper stage and deployed it's solar arrays. Juice it's on it's 7 years journey to Jupiter. Video of the launch of Ariane 5 with Juice earlier this afternoon. And we have a successful deployment of all solar arrays. Europe is on it's way to Jupiter. Congratulations to the ESA and everyone working on this mission. The solar panels are one of the biggest ever flown into space. The are 21 meters from one end to the other, at all 85 square meters. The deployment of the solar panels has begun and they already produce their own energy for Juice. Juice will operate the first Earth-Lunar flyby in one in history. The computer of Juice is faster than expected. We can expect solar panels deployed in around 15-20 minutes. Next step is the deployment of the solar arrays during the next hour Now it's time to check all systems again. ESA says already we have a healthy space craft and we on the way to Jupiter. Another quantum leap for European space travel. And we have Accusation of signal from Juice. Juice is still manoeuvring to find the right and stable position. After this is done Juice will start it's antennas and starts sending. We still waiting for Accusation of signal from Juice. Accusation of signal is expected in the next few minutes and in one hour the solar panels will expand. The team in Darmstadt, Germany will now take over the control of the signal and check the systems of Juice. And Juice has successfully separated from the upper stage. Decades of work are now on the way to Jupiter. Juice was investigated on which microbes it takes with it from French Guiana. As Juice will investigate possible microbiological life on the moons of Jupiter it's important to know what we bring from Earth to have no false-positive results. In about 5 minutes Juice will separate and fly on it's own. 9.6 km per seconds is the current speed. It's the most heavy mission to the outer solar system with over 5 tones at lift off. The solar panels used are the biggest used in an ESA mission. During it's journey the solar panels of Juice have to survive the wildness of space with temperatures from +250 till -150 degrees. And Ascension station in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean took over the signal. All trajectory is normal. We have lost of Signal form Natal station. This is normal. Ignition of upper stage was successful We have confirmation from signal jump over to Natal base station on an island in the Atlantic ocean on the coast of Brazil Flight is perfectly smooth Juice and the main stage are now turned into the right position so that the space probe gets sun from all side to avoid overheating. boosters have separated successfully and juice is on it's way for separation in around 22 minutes from now. Juice is on it's way to space Launch of Ariane 5 The synchronized sequence has begun. It means we are on go and the launch will happen today on time. The weather is fine, we have a go to continue the launch preparations. The launch happens in direction to east. After around 8 minutes the upper stage takes over and the ESC injection into target orbit will happen after 25 minutes. 90 Minutes after liftoff Juice will fly on it's own in space. The launch from the space center of the ESA in French Guiana is planed for 14:14 CEST. On it's journey JUICE will flyby Earth 3 times, Venus 1 time and enter the orbit of Jupiter in July 2031. ESA's live broadcast starts at 13:45 CEST. JUICE will launch around 14:14 CEST to it's journey to Jupiter to explorer it's icy moons.
